Margaret Kilgallen is another one of my favorite artists.. She was a contemporary artist form San Francisco and her work shows a strong folk art influence... She was married to Barry McGee and the two of them had a daughter named Asha.. Margaret died in 2001 three weeks after giving birth to her daughter due to breast cancer... so sad.. Margaret's work continues to be shown in exhibitions and has since been the subject of several posthumous retrospectives...
